Vancouver transplant Ron Wear was named Mr.World Canada 2010 in March. The Edmonton, Alberta born "all-round Canadian boy" recently competed on the international stage in Mr.World in Incheon, Korea taking out a top 20 spot in the fitness and sports challenges and winning the team challenge. He was a popular favorite amongst other contestants and describes his 3 week stay in Korea "the experience of a lifetime.
Ron Wear is an in demand professional Vancouver model and has featured in a number of independent movies, commercials, magazine spreads and artistic photography books. The busy winner of the accolade "Canada's Most Desirable Man" is also CEO of his own company specializing in events, security planning, and talent booking predominantly for non-profit events.
In his spare time Wear likes to indulge his passion for travel, hockey, camping,the outdoors, and social events. He plans to use his talent,magnetic outgoing personality and the title of Mr.World Canada to break in to television presenting, on the spot sports corresponding or law enforcement.
Ron was cast in a supporting role for the TV show Smallville and has featured in roles on television productions such as Wipeout! Canada and Stargate Universe. Wear has also been cast as a San Francisco Police Officer in the new Planet Of The Apes prequel and as a Vampire in the new Underworld movie installment. Ron has understudied for several of Hollywood's leading actors and is fast making an impact on the Vancouver/LA film scene.
